Meet the team

Marie Balzer | Clinical Psychologist | Director | Supervisor

Hello, I’m Marie — a Clinical Psychologist and the Director of Green Fields Health and Performance, a private psychology practice based in Yeppoon and supporting clients throughout the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regions. I work with people across all stages of life and have a particular interest in helping those navigating trauma, dissociation, and complex emotional or relational challenges.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and neurofeedback to support clients in understanding their experiences, building insight, and moving toward meaningful change. I believe in the importance of being present and genuine in the therapy room, and I aim to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Alongside my clinical work, I lead a team of dedicated clinicians at Green Fields and continue to supervise and mentor early-career psychologists as an approved STAP supervisor. I also have a background in human resources, education, and organisational development, which enriches my understanding of people and systems.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your child, or a family member, I’m committed to walking alongside you with compassion, care, and professionalism.
